Bored with the board

Now, I've decided that you're entirely beneath the attention of the mighty mutant monarch of the deep.

Long, tired days of back-biting, complaints and negativity would normally appeal to one so evil as I, but I have to bear in mind you're a bunch of plebs with no right to your opinions.

Therefore, I am heading off on sabbatical.
I take with me a wizard and a minstrel, to guard me as I sleep under a hill until once more my Kingdom calls upon me.

Should the board be in danger - be it from trolls, monkeys in hats or the French - just call upon your King and he will return to save you!

The recent spate of board (bored?) members announcing their intentions to leave - or at least not post for a while - has really shown me that this place means a whole host more to other folks than me.

For me it's just a pleasant daily distraction from work - no more, no less.

It does a job and for that I'm grateful.

No disrespect to any older boarders intended with this post I?m just bemused by it all.

Tulkas youve summed it up for me too.  We are in danger of taking this place, the comic and often ourselves far too seriously.  Ive read posts saying that this is bad and that is good and that people are wrong in liking this or that.  

The comic for me is a half hour distraction a week, this board as often as I let it.  I went away for a week (for work reasons), my life didnt fall apart and when I came back it was actually a lot better on here.

Sometimes time away is nice.  But id hate to see old favourites (and I use the word old for Trout:)) disapear.
