Like the title of the thread says, I have had an idea. It dosn't happen often, so I may need to lie down. I've recently started buying pages of original 2000AD art and also, recently sold the last two pages of the Judge Dredd story from prog 4 to a guy in America. He's asked me to look out for the other pages for him as he would like the complete story from that prog.

With this in mind, I am sure that there are other collectors out there looking for specific pages, so if Wake was up for it, why not include a section within the website where we can all list the pages that we have and our contact details. Anyone who has even one page should be encouraged to list what they have, even if they don't want to sell it.

Rufus Dayglo has hundreds of pages and he has exhibited these in the past, it would be fantastic if one day in the future, thousands of pages could be exhibited in a gallery somewhere in London and the website could be a great resource for tracking down pages. It could even be included in a future Dreddcon. What do you think Wake and everyone else.

Once I get a decent selection of Carlos' artwork sent over from Andorra Im hoping to do an exhibition in Norfolk somewhere.

Um Tarantino?
It's been on the site for quite some time, over 1000 pages in collections listed already and over 200 pages for sale.
There was a poll about it the other week as well.

I've added pics to 94 of my 95 pieces as well.

And to contact you can use the sendmail facility.
You can even set the artwork to Available, eserved, Sold, Not for Sale and Trade only.

How stupid do I feel?

Anyway, not one to be bothered by a set back, I've had another idea and I'm calling it a wheel, how it works is like this......

Trouble with the artwork pages is that you have to keep clicking links to see the images. Would work out better if they were displayed like the cover story. All the images displayed in thumbnails with the details of artist, collector etc underneath.

The problem with having the images as thumbnails on the page is that I would have to resize every single image and upload the thumbnails myself. As it is, I upload images for some people, but others already have their own webspace.

You've also got the problem that even as thumbnails when Rufus gets his on the site it'll take about an hour to load even on broadband ;)

the problem with this is i didnt know it existed (either)??

so im in the same boat as tarantino here

Devons Daddy

wow i had not visited this area fo the site for some time.

mainly as i am to tempted to purchase things. and i am trying to save at this time. but what an excellent area of imagery. some collections so large you would need an extention to the house to display them.
I AM VERY BUSY!
PJ Maybe and I use the same dictionary, live with it.

NO 2000ad no life!

Not quite, since Tarantino has already used the Original Artwork section to buy artwork.

Yes but I did'nt realize that there were fans just listing what pages they had, which is why I thought that this was an original idea. I thought it was just art for sale. Anyway as I suggested, maybe we should encourage other owners of original art to list what they have.

In the meantime I've had another great idea, why not have an area in the site where fans can talk to each other and discuss the comic and related subjects. What does everyone else think.

Nah - we'd rather talk about socks and hatted simians.

Back to the drawing board.
