I picked up quite a few of these issues a couple of years ago - pretty sure i originally read them as a kid, buying them from the local newsagent.

Breyfogle's art is second to none, superb use of shadows

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

"When DC asked noted English ::) writer John Wagner"
And that's coming from a blog called Oh Danny Boy - virtually the national anthem of the Republic of England.

Last time Stevie checked John Wagner writes in English, so what's the problem?

Oh Danny Boy is a fellow Aussie*, so count yourself luck that he didn't refer to John as being a Pom.

* a multi-cultural land which, unless you're a member of the Liberal Party or a constituent of a marginal seat in Queensland, still prides itself in being inclusive of immigrants what with the bulk of the population having only arrived these last 2 centuries.

I like John Wagner, and I love Alan Grant.  Damned good guy that Alan.

As for my referring to John as being English, well I'd hardly call him German now would I?  That interview was originally done for Back Issue magazine but they thought it was a bit too long and controversial, so it was dumped and someone else was commissioned to produce a watered down version.

I stand by my original interview and consider it to be one of the best that I've done.  But if it's any good, that's because Alan and Norm made it good.  Simple as that.

Wagner and Grant not being English.

But Danny Boy writes in English, therefore shouldn't you drop mention of him being Australian and simply refer to him as English?

Both Wagner and Grant are Scots (although Wagner is also a USAonian).  It's just a mistake (but one that tends to rile those north of the border) but a great interview nevertheless.

Ha -- Stevie only mentioned our being Aussies because we're so hung up on national identity as you peeps in the Old Country.  ;)
