Excellent work, looks just the ticket for a modern girls comic set in the 70s.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

I was also inspired by a stunning set of photographs taken in the late 70s by a then teacher, George Plemper, of the people who lived in the area around Thamesmead which are well worth a look.

Just a bloody brilliant photo.

Just watched the documentary again last night, The Great Estate: the Rise and Fall of the Council House. There's a great section on the first tenant in Thamesmead and the people in Plemper's photos plus Plemper himself.

Wow, fancy that! Thanks for the link, I shall be watching that!

It's brilliant, the Thamesmead section is about three/quarters the way through but it's worth watching the whole lot.

Strontium Dog a theme in TAB? What an ideal hop-on point for boarders who may not've cottoned on to *AHEM* http://weeklythemedartblog.blogspot.co.uk/

Anyhows - it's Paul Scott's birthday. Former editor of Solar Wind and small press godfather - he gave me my first ever slot in a small press comic ever back in like - 2007 -  http://metal-truncator.deviantart.com/art/The-Whistle-of-Alfie-Smith-2-161194214 *cringe* I needn't remind you that good fictional editors never die, like The Big E (who is at comic conventions as we speak arguing the validity of the Watchmen film) Solar Ray is out there still. Mimicking poses from Frank Quitely covers and sitting in front of poorly inserted google image-searched backgrounds...

Happy Birthday Paul Scott!

Bonjour. Just sharing this Kano portrait I made for Ming as a thank you for tracking down a very elusive comic I had been hunting for (since 2005!). Love this forum :)

Superb Kano pic, ghostpockets - really excellent work (and bonus points for giving him the BCII furry coat!)
