Please help me avoid hours in the garage, spending time I wish I had, wading through 1500+ progs :(

There was surely a prog in which Dredd and a rookie are chasing perps in the 5th dimension (this is some time before the recent dark matter story) and being there temporarily gives Dredd godlike powers over the city.

He stops his bike for a moment, glares down at the city like god's face and growls "Obey the Law, creeps!", adding to the rookie: "Never hurts to let 'em know who's boss" or something like that.

Please can anybody point me to this?

I have loved this series right from the start. It begins with "indestructible demonic cyborg travels the universe in a super cool spaceship subjecting galactic criminals to horrible deaths" and ends (so far) with "the good guy has already turned to the dark side and become dark overlord of the very doom he originally fought".

"What happened next?" Drokking hell, how in Grud's name should I know! Whatever it is it will look cool and be cool; that's enough for me 8)

Dredd: Interesting point about clones going bad.

What really annoys is that we never find out who murdered Henk Willem and why. Of course, given the faux-military appearance of the murderer, it could make for an interesting sequel. A time traveller, eg faulty clone wants revenge before they die? Somebody who bought a faulty clone and tried to fast-grow it? Or maybe they just didn't like the music :)
