Thats what I find amazing about this latest, potentially murderous farce

Why doesn't someone with authority just say "cop the fuck on, did anyone get hurt? what harm has been done. Mistakes happen. Life resumes"

But no , it's all "We are all are guilty of not respecting other religions..we deserve punishment"

It's like an episode of South Park

I'm sure Dudley will be along to explain that it's not the same having some form of white person used as a mascot. It isn't you know.
Is there really a gridiron/baseball/basketball team called the Fighting Quakers?

Quite a lot of muslims in this country would like england to be a Muslim state under Sharia law even though England doesnt stop them practising their religion in any way at all.You give them a place to live that says practice your beliefs and their own places of worship and we wont stop you and they want to impose their religous beliefs on everyone else and not only that they want to change the entire legal system of a country to Shariah law.

The proportion of UK muslims who want this to happen is roughly one third so it isnt wholly representative of UK Muslims.

You cant win with some people. You do the right thing by being tolerant ,unlike the the places where there are Muslim states where you dare not break the law like most of the middle east and it is still not enough for them so what do you do?

Can you see the Swastika in the outer edge of the rug in the repeating pattern known as a Guilloche?

I think 'Fighting Quakers' is probably quite insulting, as they are not a very combative religion.
Though in North Dakota, the University at Grandforks has had the 'Fighting Sioux' as their nickname for 80 years. Their current logo was designed by a American Indian, but a different tribe is complaining, and they only raised their complaints after the University had finished a new ice hockey ring. One tribe blessed the use of the name, the other complained, and it appeared to be because of anti-white racism as they complained about white living in America as well.http://media.2news.tv/images/061112fighting_sioux.jpg">

I think Ronald McDonald is far more likely to induce violence that most other mascots.

"Quite a lot of muslims in this country would like england to be a Muslim state under Sharia law even though England doesnt stop them practising their religion in any way at all."

But of course if pressed they HAVE to go along with what their holy book says, it's not in their tradition to question it. If that's what it says, it's right. It doesn't mean they believe it in private - most muslims just want to get by like anyone else without 'letting the side down' or causing a stir in a religion they never chose to be part of and cannot leave. That said, you won't see many people out there actively campaigning for it.

Personally, I'd like to live in country where fortune tellers, priests, homoepaths and astrologers were all aggressively prosecuted for fraud everytime they convinced someone gave them money for their made-up services.  I'm not sure why that's relevant to this 'debate'.
