Thought I better do the introduction thang :)

Yes, I was there in '77. Nearly 13 at the time but still not quite sure whether or not Mum would approve of Flesh in the comic she'd just bought me.

I sort of let things lapse sometime in the '80s and have dipped in and out ever since. Never quite letting things go but also never really being a regular. The US spandex brigade have now, pretty much, left me behind but I'm finding 2000AD still has it! I think I'd still prefer it if it was a kids comic with an edge rather than just for the grown-ups as I've got a 7-year old son and I'd love it if he could discover a really good UK news-stand comic but hey-ho.

My own scribblings are very much younger-orientated but I do feel a bit of Dredd in me waiting to bust out every now and again.

Anyway, happy to be here.

Welcome Wil, you've found your way home now, so you can put your aching feet up, kick your slippers off and join the fireside chat, wid' de kool kidz. Respec'.
Totally agree regarding the eternal problem of the prog being too adult for the smaller ones. Would love to see a weekly, or fortnightly 'junior' prog, even if just coloured reprints of the classic stuff. There's loads of us ageing parents, and grandparents, here who'd happily buy it for them, and us. They could call it 'Sprog'.

Welcome aboard - just in time to critique whether the new Flesh should also be read by younger readers!! You've timed that well.

Welcome, Wil.  What 7-year old wouldn't be entranced by Lucifer porking a pig-demon-lady?

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

Hi Wil, are you the guy that used to draw the covers for 'Super Play' magazine? It sure looks like you are, from your blog...... I'm not kidding, but a friend and I were talking about that mag at work today. One of the things we both agreed on were the quality cover illos. Top stuff....scary coincedence, too!  :o

Oh, and as for having a bit of Dredd in you....lets see it!  :D
