Elizabeth Shue (Shoe, Shooe, Shoo what the fck is her name anyway?).

Watched The Saint on tele tonight (which by the way was the biggest pile of shite I've seen in a long time), and old Liz is the picture of  Anderson, and about the right age. She can act and is fantastic eye candy. Though I think she may be beyond the budget of the planned Dredd movies. We'll probably end up with Cat Dealy.... Hmmmm.... Cat Dealy, I think I could actually live with that.

Hmmm...

Not too sure about Ms Shue as Anderson, but here's a nice pic of her getting wet...

Thats given me the Shue-horn! (giggle)

I think Anderson should be played by some straight-from-soap-opera bimbo. I mean do we really need "serious" actors for these parts? X-men managed it (admittedly with mckellan and stewart) and Id be more than happy with something as good as x-men.

Actually I think shes kinda a little young to play Anderson.  Now I suspect anderson to be about mid 40's.  I suppose at the start she would have been mids 20's, so I suppose which Anderson are we talking about??

They just need to take the route of ALL anonymous actors: pay them the frigging Equity minimum, tell them they should be happy to be in a revolutionary film.  Use the budget for special effects & a cityscape designed by Ezquerra, with input from Wagner.  Make it tha best looking movie of all time, with a very good plot indeed.  Get Tarantino to direct (it's perfect: blood and film refer4ences all over the place, and he's into playing with genre.  You know it makes sense).

Then slip the last bit of the budget to someone mega (like oooooh... Marlon Brando), give them a cameo role as someone very significant (like Dredd's clone father, Eugene Fargo), and that'll get you yer publicity.

Sorted.

Check out the imdb for her filmography.  That Oscar nomination for Leaving Las Vegas was a loooong time ago now, and The Saint looks to have probably been the high point of her career, at least paycheck-wise.

A couple more years and a few more TV movies, and I reckon she'll be well within Shoreline's financial reach...

She'll be 40 on October 6th.

Plenty of Shue pics linked below, but I still prefer Elisabeth Rohm for the role.

On the other hand, look at Cat Deeley's IMDB figures...she's obviously still on the up!

And, note, there is a Cat Deeley message board.  Four or five posts suggesting she should play Anderson, and she'd start lobbying for the part.
