You're right though that you don't get any extra points for that, but it should still be mentioned in the result lines.

Carefree - as per rule 10:

10. Late entries can only gain points from progs published (cover date)after the player's choices have been registered, however, late entries may choose their own droids/character.

you have to tell me which droids/character you want.
