That's not a bad looking wiki - could do with thickening up though. I've got a massive archive of sorts if you want any data although frankly Barney has all that covered Could be great for filling in more detailed world/appearance specific information and for some good comprehensive creator entries....

Yes, I'm adding creator entries whenever i come across an interview, but I'm not actively looking at the moment (and I haven't studied the Meg interviews to glean content yet).

What kind of stuff do you have in your archive? I should hook up my scanner to my computer at some point (once I've dug it out) but I haven't needed to make my own scans yet...

are there any good fan made wiki's I know we have barney wondering if anything else

I've been working on the 2000AD wikia ( http://2000ad.wikia.com ), mostly just updating it with my weekly progs (though that got put on hold during November when I was NaNoWriMoing, and I haven't quite got back up to speed yet).
p.s. it has a long way to go...

10) Zenith! Only last as I believe there are some legal complications there.

The legal complications I'm aware of were:
a) use of H.P. Lovecraft characters (if you can call a multi-dimensional god a character) - though Lovecraft's earlier stories are now falling out of copyright.
b) use of old school British superheroes and comic characters - presumably this has been dealt with by the publication of this year's collected edition (plus no particular non-original character needs to be transferred in any proposed adaptation - they could just use whatever they can get the rights to).

I can't imagine how Nemesis would make it on the big screen (or small screen), but I still like the music video:

I'm not sure if I ever posted a welcome thread, but there are 38 pages of posts, so I'll have to take a risk that I didn't and do so now.
When I was young the woman / girl next door (possibly a teenager, but much older than I was at the time) gave me a small pile of progs. I was impressed with what I saw, and within a few weeks started buying the progs. To put this in context, the earliest of the ones given to me had the first episode of Skizz, and the first one I bought had both the last episode of Skizz and the first episode of Sláine. For some reason I couldn't find the next few progs, but I must have managed to track down a reliable newsagent by Prog 335.
It was a good time to get in to 2000AD, with Alan Moore producing some of his finest work. This also meant that later that year, during a period of illness, I had a familiar name to latch on to when my dad brought me a copy of Swamp Thing home from the newsagent.
Anyway, thirty years later I'm still getting the progs. I used to subscribe, but I also like to support my local comic shop - tricky decision to make...

If only I knew how many posts you have to make to get bumped up to a full profile. Oh well, I'd better ask politely instead. Please?

One piece of trivia I've always wondered about, when did the progs start "growing up" what was the first use of swearing in the prog (not including Drokk or other sci-fi swear words), nudity (both male and female) and anything else people would consider "not for kids"?

Other than coy shower scenes in Strontium Dog (Bitch) and Anderson (can't remember), there are a bare arses - male and female - in Slaine The King and What if the Judges Did The Ads, so that would put the moment Tharg's voice broke around 86/87.

Earlier than that - we got to see John Probe's arse as he went in for his sessions of compu-puncture in Prog 1!

We've seen one of his female relations (sister? aunt?) and female Betelgeusians look like women painted green, rather than men painted green.

Ah, that should probably be "Millar", but if he can f*ck up Robo-Hunter and Dredd for years, then I claim the right to spell his name wrong.

Makes me wonder what Frank Milller would make of writing Dredd - Joe's usually depicted as fascist /or/ hero - Miller would show Dredd as fascist /as/ hero...

I stumbled across the wikia 2000ad wiki and, seeing that it was rather scanty, added a few pages relating to this week's releases (from Rebelliion and IDW) - just stubs.  It was only after I'd done this that I discovered there seems to have been an abortive attempt at a wiki on 2000adonline, none of which is available (unless you're a beta tester?)  What happened to this?  I'd much rather work on a wiki that is built on data migrated from the 2000ad database than have to start from scratch...
