It makes me laugh when Scottish nationalists attack UKIP for espousing nationalist policies. I guess it looks like there's a difference to you guys, because hating the English is fine but hating Europeans is racist.

This'll be news to all the English (and Polish, Irish, Swedish, Australian and American) people I know living here in Scotland who voted Yes last month.

It was a mates 40th Birthday bash this Sat and his non-geek, but very understanding, wife unveiled this beaut to much applause. Gold icing to boot.

I think the one thing folks tend not to take into consideration when it comes to abiogenesis, due to the minuscule amount we have to ourselves, is time. Staggering amounts of the stuff. It's an amazing ingredient when it comes to the statistical likelihood argument.

I have a very small family (brother, sister + nephew, mum) who by luck and work commitments all live at the various points of the compass around this fair isle with me, landlocked of Leam, in the middle. Means lots of phonecalls, the odd xmas get-together and no surprise visits. Bliss.

The rest of the family disowned my mum when she dared to get divorced in the 70's. It's meant some quiet weddings, but some great funeral punch ups. :)
