Don't bother!

Many years ago (bout 1993 i think) i bought a paper back anthology of Joker stories, all written word, which i read an then promptly lost. Has anyone seen or heard of such a thing or know where i could find one?

Bloody hilarious...(mostly)

In an attempt to stave off terminal boredom I decided that DC online would be the way to go.
As the release date was today i left work early, caught a bus filled with the obligatory nutters and screaming kids and visited GAME to pick up my copy. On my arrival I was informed that its not out on the PC yet, even though GAMES own site claims it is. To make matters worse friends in Norn Iron & Scotland have been able to pick up a copy at their local GAME, while mine steadfastly deny any knowledge of its release.

Twats.

This is a poll of who you think was the best chief judge.Not just your favourite but how they conducted themselves while in office. Take into consideration the tough choices they had to make and the mistakes they made.

I have put Cal in there because even though he was a complete nutter he did give Mega-city the Wall, one of its most strategic defenses.

For simplicity McGruders 2 terms count as an overall.

Personally I'm for Griffin and i was going to say Silver til i started thinking of his catelogue of fuck ups.....

Been flicking through old progs at random an came across the story where Dredd solves the case of Jack the Ripper...are there more cases of Dredd and historical characters?
( this does not include Burke & Hare,Quasimodo or Sweeny Todd from that early Dredd story when weather control screws up over the waxworks museum)

Maybe not exactly a Lawmaster but bloody hell 'd still have one if i could afford it!!

During a recent Judge Dredd RPG session the question of what is excessive force came to light.

The players were a mix of Dredd familiar and Stallone only reference.

The issue came to light when an agent of a vid star tried to hold up entry to said stars apt and had his face pushed into a wall and subsequently arrested.the shouts of excessive force were shouted down and subsequently explained.however this led to an escalation as some time later a suspect in a kidnapping was held out of a city block window by his feet by 2 Judges (to the dismay of the rest of the team who were otherwise engaged in another part of the block)

The result was that the Tac team leader had to explain the actions of his Judges to a pissed off Sector Chief and a zealous SJS officer.

My question is,given a Judges training and the conditions they work in what, in your opinion is exessive force?

Crappy add at the start though.

This whole thing of casting has got me going,so i'm afraid i'm gonna keep going...

JUPE : Ray Wistone or Stephen Lang (completley different but each bring something   different.)

SMITH : Colin Farrell

HEN-SHO : Jet Li

RINGER : Robert Carlisle (he's played his share of unpredictable violent nutters)

LOON - Steve Buscemi

DWARF STAR : Brandon Silvestry (you find me a better look-a-like. Short,bald Orientals are not as common as you'd think)

My first thought is Michael Weatherly.....for two reasons
(1)he fits the criteria,American & cheesey
(2)once i had him  in mind i could think of anyone else.

Without a doubt the funniest thing Ricky Jervais has been associated with. Personally the only funny thing ....Jervais and funny is a contradiction in terms, normally.

Just look it up on you tube....i think i may have to memorize it!

Great game....can easily loose hours/days in this,,,,when its working.Being that you have to have a STEAM account it tends to fuckup,breakdown and throw you out at random...i got a full week before it started acting up.

I recommend you play this game,not neccisarily buy it like me,mug that i am,

A simple principle...set up your market and peddle blow.

Just watch out for HEAT,THIEVES and the people with you who will no doubt try to doublecross and generally stitch you up.

Short lived series about a guy who dies and is recruited into "The Corp", who hunt down hasbeens/never weres who have sold their soul in a faustian deal for fame and fortune.

It was only shown the once i think and i can find no trace of it on dvd etc. Anyone any idea where i could get hold of this?

As for the faustian deals i'm sure we all have ideas of people who fit that mould, for me it's Jack Black (one of several,but i'd hate to deprive others of venting their opinions).

Dredd has knocked a LOT of people out but what are your fav fist fights in Judge Dredd?
There will be the the classic Dredd vs Stan Lee(round 2) and Dredd vs Orlock at the end of block war.....any others or is that the best?

How best to sum up this film......

98 minutes of my life i will never get back.

Not an original thought in it.70% is filmed in almost total darkness so you don't really know what you are looking at and the other 30% you wish was.

This game uses the Traveller system instead of the old Games workshop or the Mongoose D20 system.
i am still using the GW system as it is fast and fluid but bought a lot of the new sourcebooks for reference and although they repeat a lot of the details provided by Mongoose publishing they are so beautifully laid out that they would not be out of place in in Dredd fans collection.

The Lawbringers and Lawbreakers books are stunning,with every detail covered of the characters and a nice portrait.

Even if you never intend playing the RPG these are books that would sit well in any collection.
