I just finished Half Life 2 for the umpteenth time

Is it correct to refer to a PC as a she? I refer to mine as an it. Might be worth a poll?

Yeah, three of my fave stories there. Just feels a bit light, but then there is the anticipation for next week's prog!

When I first ran through Fallout3, I decided to go the same way as I did in The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and get the main quest out of the way first. What a mistake that was, [spoiler]as the main quest finishes the story![/spoiler] but some of the DLC has changed the main quest, which I prefer. I'm going through it yet again, this time trying to behave myself! Currently I am wandering around Point Lookout, ridding the world of the shallow end of the gene pool!

But I've just been in a bit of the game where you plug into a virtual reality situation and get trapped inside and need to figure a way out.



Maybe it is the irritating background music?

STALAG 666 - for a first episode it shows us nothing fresh or exciting.  I'd suspect COMMANDO would have rejected this plot if they'd been sent it as a real war story so to have some meagre SG trappings thrown in isn;t good enough. So far, there's nothing in the story that justifies it being set in space - that's got to be wrong.  Looking forward to some massive reversal of expectations.  But I suspect that, like SECOND CITY BLUES, it may just turn out to be a tale that's twenty years by it's sell by date. Art was slightly iffy in places as well.

RE SEAS - having hated the last couple of RED SEAS (the journey to the centre of the earth and the WWII interlude) this pushes all the right buttons.  Yeowell's art continues to be economical but thoroughly effective. More please.

I think that STALAG 666 deserves a week or two to get going. Come on, there's a race out there that is more destructive and violent than man? But why waste fuel/ time/ money transferring prisoners, there's got to be more to this yarn I hope.

Red Seas, I really enjoyed that first episode!

Dante this week was one of the greatest episodes I have read. Mind blowing.

There you are, them lot would wreck loads of stuff. And they were created specifically for being hard. Come on, staked to the groung underneath a rocket thats taking off and not only surviving, but breaking out and killing everything in sight afterwards? The GI's own this poll, and I'll wrestle any girl who begs to differ!

Oh yes, I can remember that in the AVP game as well. Terrifying stuff, if Doom 3 or any of the current pretenders to the throne could top that, it'd be quite something. I think PCZone awarded AVP the moniker of scariest FPS of all time (so far!). The bit I liked reading about in the blurb was that the programmers have been given access to the original film sounds. The motion tracker is really going to be nerve wracking! AVP on the Atari Jaguar was crap, you couldn't finish the game!

Dead Man's Shoes should be up there as one of the best Brit Films surely? And, Blackball!

The Vort, a cousin of the Glimmer Rats maybe? More weird, less violent, at least for now anyway!
