Good fun ....got the old skill tree which blizzard should be consigned to hell for creating...but a fun game. The storylines are what keep you playing , so far the Sith Inquisitor line had me up to stupid o'clock just to rub the smug bastard overseers nose in the fact im great...well,great as you can be at lvl 9.

Other than the story there's nice touches ...you can send companions off to do stuff while yer busy...they can craft items when your not online.......this game maybe why World of Warcraft are stepping up their add campaign with Chuck Norris (a man who personally would make me avoid anything he put his name to).

Big Brother...what is this shite doing back on tv? A building full of vacuous, condescending, talentless oxygen theives, we shouldn't be watching it but bricking it up so they can never escape! Or at the very least introducing a man eating tiger or zombie virus!

"A tactical zombie survival game" is how it describes itself. And while it does feel that way, bit like the first Fallout games the combat does become real time (you can use the spacebar to pause and issue orders) and fights occassionally get out of hand.

It claims its based on early zombie flicks and is quite atmospheric with several nice touches - a bleeding character attracks zombies as does the use of guns and locations like the G A Romero hospital.

Now the bad things.
The camera angle is crap(default is 45 degrees looking down at character) and although you can move it around the area and double back constanly trying to see as much as possible theres still times when you open a door to get jumped by zombies you just didn't see.
There are limited save "spots" throughout a mission,but these can be used only once. So do you save as you find them or hold off in case you have to come back that way with maybe another survivor?
The dialogue,voice acting and narration are fucking woeful, although i'm not sure if thats deliberate as its based on movies from the 80's.

The jury is still out on this one,though the game itself proudly boasts "Awarded best action game 2010 in Germany"

A card game for those who socialise

Very simple and fucking hilarious game.

One person plays the dark overlord who has sent his goblins to perform a task, which they failed to complete, everyone else plays a goblin trying to pass the buck.

Two decks of cards which the players draw 3 each of and then try to avoid the Dark Overlords fury.

Deck one contains hints.....an encounter,object,foe,weather condition etc.....the player then tries to spin a tale involving one or all of these cards.

Deck two has simply left or right...direction to pass the buck  and STOP...to use while someone is in mid flow to contradict their tale using a card from the first deck.

The player acting as Dark Overlord listens to these arguements and at any time can call it a load of bollocks (if it doesn't make sense, the player hesitates,contradicts himself etc and the Overlords decision is final)and give an "evil scowl"...3 scowls an that player gets the blame (and becomes overlord for nest round.)

Fast game where the ability to think on your feet and bullshit are essential cus you never know the next time someone will try to blame YOU.......(oh, and a single hand takes no more than 15 mins)

Really enjoying this. Yes, it has a lot of faffing about trying to make people like you by dancing eith them or telling jokes,but there are plenty of choices to make, which make you a saint or an evil bastard.

Even the weapons change to your strengths and weaknesses (a sword with a bone handle shows i tend to get hit a lot in melee combat)...but with a choice of weapons that you can rename(in my case the HUNTSMAN rifle) it is good fun.

Even in the deadliest encounters you can nip back to your sanctuary to pick up a better gun/sword, you dont die,just get knocked out, which can be just as much as of a pain in the arse as you lose any guild seals (used for improving abilities).

Its a fun game and not overly taxing for people like me who tend to play while downing beer!

Any one know what the following is from? Was asked earlier and though it sounds slightly familiar i can't place it.

Duke is back ...and its about bloody time!

Politically incorrect and with one liners that would make Arnie wince its as fun as it ever was. The game itself is challenging as bosses tend to kick cars and shit about that means theres is always the need for a different plan each time they kill you.

I really like it, or maybe i'm just biased cus its Duke

Now for the gripes:

Bloody checkpoint saving, the single worst thing ever introduced to an FPS.

Stolen from Halo the idea that you can only carry 2 weapons and yer a bit fucked if you chose wrong.Always loved the old Duke games for the aburdity of carrying every weapon you could lay yer hands on.

Its obviously been designed for the console market, with whole area being based on driving.And on the console thing the PC version comes with a manual, all well and good til you get to the controls bit which states "this manual refers to the Microsoft 360 controller! Which is a bit like buying a DVD player and getting the manual for a car stereo!(Yes you can see the keyboard settings in game but that doesn't make it any less a waste of paper.)

All in all its Duke so i'll play it, i mean only been 12 years since his last outing!

Time to get all those last minute jobs done before 21 Oct

Been watching this and after the first few shows i realised that the audience was never going to see anything other than the conversations. My question is..is this a show with the hook of an online game or vice versa?

Too many years in the making. Still funny and devious (or maybe i've just killed too many brain cells in the intervening years). Either way after the last few turkies i've bought this is shaping up as a game to keep me entertained for a bit!

Its a pretty looking game but suffers from being ported from console(least thats how it feels). No save games only checkpoints which is a real pain in the ass far i'm concerned, having to redo whole areas cus of one mistake or stray bullet is just crap and realy takes away enjoyment of a game.

Only started it bur i really hope i can get away from the annoying bastards around me who's sole purpose seems to be to tell me to throw a grenade or flip a swithch.

Question is who do you think draws the best scenes of Dredd in action?

Is it Dragon Age?....not quite...the designers seemed to be under the idea that if it worked so well the first time then it can't possibly be right. Therefore they have fiddled and fucked about with things that were perfectly ok (maybe just changing things to justify their jobs).

Is it good?...well,yes the unneccesary tweaks aside its still bloody grat and i have lost about 20 out of the last 36 hours on it.
