It's remarkable how stunning the entries have been this month and so good to see them all together...

1: -MikeD-2 - Ambushed by Death – Incredible.
2: james newell - The Full Weight of the Law – Just such a wonderful image
3: Alan Byrom1 - Killed by Death – Nice Watchman homage
4: Mark Higgins - Judge Dead – Clean and well balanced.
5: David Timoney - Down Among the Dead Men – Reminds me of an Annual cover from the Eighties.

HM
Alan Byrom2 - We Pizen'd Him Good Ratty! I remember when Ratty Jnr. sh*t on Dredd's lawmaster....
JTPegg – Peanuts – Reminds me of a Steve Dillon sketch.
SaintofKillers - Death of Dredd – A really well balanced image

As far as what this means for the comp - we carry on this month but in the future we'll have to see.

See, this is exactly what I was afraid was going to happen... :/

Me too, I don't get the time to draw that often, and I like that a competition like this gets me thinking about different subjects and ideas. It gives me some sort of purpose for drawing every month, even if I rarely get the chance to get anything done to submit, I'm always thinking of ideas to submit, every month. I, for one, would miss this contest.

Blimey, first chance I've had to enter this year and it's all a bit shouty. (Also, as an aside to another conversation, I've also wondered if Mark is a relation to John, especially as I had a strong vibe of John's style from his entry a couple of months ago...)

Anyway, feeling a bit rusty as I don't get to draw much. But here's my 'mean' entry...

Here's my go, Steelhorn, aka THE MESS! (Which is not the most optimistic title for a piece of art...)

Incredibly good entries, and from some really good stories too.

Here's my entry. It's another example of the picture looking better in my head than my hands can create. I'd like to think I can revisit this and do it justice before the closing date, but I barely have the time to draw just recently. :(

No, nothing, just that they should be shipping the book at the end of the month. I noticed Carlos Ezquerra posted on his Facebook page a copy of the print that's included, so it may be that there's been a delay in getting them printed and signed.

I chased up my order earlier this week and was told that it is hoped it'll be dispatched at the end of the month. :)

Great picture Stuart, your style reminds me of Jock. :)

Ok, here's my entry, drumming up recruits to enter into come very Bad Company:

And not an entry, but by way of contrast, here's my Ewins/McCarthy homage black and white version, over which I digitally painted:

That looks fantastic, Neil!

Someone's beaten me to this idea already.

"Dredd bred"

Sorry for getting there first, though to be fair, we have both drawn different clones, and I like how the Justice Department logo covers Dredd's face. :)

it's good, 'hard' sci-fi stuff, Deedee---I expected to see a whole load of comedy satires for this thread, so how wrong could I be!

Thank you. :)

Deedeetee, I kid you not, that is almost EXACTLY what I had in mind!  Glad I didn't have time to do it yet as that is really nicely done!

Thank you. :)

This feels a bit po-faced compared to the previous, excellent, entries. But this has been in my head since I read the new challenge...
