MR. ELIMINATOR

From personal experience I would have suggested something later on. I haven't read a great deal myself, but the Tour of Duty were my firsts and it gets you into it as a new comer pretty well.

Then later on I read the cursed earth saga manga book thing, and Dredd was much different and not what I expected. He didn't seem developed enough. Far too talkative and kind. Still, good fun though. I really loved the quote "Nobody defies the alien catcher general!!" And also Satanus was funny.

I would take this negative as a positive, to be honest. Haha! He actually gets the concept better than most critics. Maybe he can have Dave "Hello me. Meet the real me!" Mustaine on yet again to discuss his fucking wacko nonsense...
"...and it was here in this blighted place, he learned to live again."

Didn't make it past the first paragraph.

Paragraphs 3 and 4 are entertaining in a 'say wha'?' kind of way.

PreacherCain

Why did he put premiered into quotations? Does he doubt that it "happened"?

He seems to completely miss the fact that Judge Dredd has some very dark satire at its heart. That's the whole point of judge, jury and executioner!

Also let's never allow anyone to call Dredd a superhero. Ech.

This is great: clearly the rumblings are that this will be a popular film.
If it's on the radar at all for american audiences, then I reckon we can expect more of this nonsense. This man is advertising our film only because he believes it will be popular: he's band-wagon jumping... and I say 'how bad?': the people  who hate him (of which there must be many) will be driven to the cinema in droves by this kinda crap.

Expect more 'Judge Dredd glorifies violence and is corrupting America, won't somebody please think of the children rameis' as the film gains popularity/notoriety in its target market.

It's easy to miss if it's not explained. Have to say though, it's a pretty terrifying vision of the future if you're going into the movie cold.

hmmnnn...fair point; I'm just so used to the concept since I can remember...

Oh brother, most of the comments on that pillock's article make my head hurt.
So let me get this straight, the "bad guy" in this movie isn't some crazy, giant robot, or a even a crazy mutant of some sort, but is just a woman... who lives in a high rise apartment. Wow. Great work Hollywood. You really pulled it all out for this one.
Where to start...

And yet again I spoiler tag instead of quote.

She seems so much more blandly congenial hosting The One Show.

She thought the film sounded cool and wanted to write about it, so she had to diffuse that through the prism of the paranoid nut-baggery her followers expect. I bet she accompanies all her 'likes' on facebook with similar screeds, detailing how the Nike swoosh is a sigil that softens your natural revulsion towards socialised healthcare and encourages paedophilia.

She's a prisoner of her schtick.
