Kinda embarrassed about this one ...

Er...

How do I attach an image to the end of my post?

It's on a disk and I don't know what a URL is.

There, I said it, begin the throwing of rotten fruit...

As far as I know, you can't post an image from disk. If an image is on the web somewhere, you can put it's URL in the box at the end of the posting box 'Optional Image URL', and that'll bring it up with your post.

URL is Uniform Resource Locator, basically the web address of any picture.
Example, if you right-click on the picture of Dredd in the top left corner of the main website page, then select properties, you see the picture's URL displayed. In this case, http://www.2000adonline.com/images/template/strip_left.jpg. Simply, copy and paste that address into the box, and you should see it below...
This will work with pictures from any site, not just this one.

If you're really keen to post an image from disk, you can go to one of the yahoo groups like ArgueWith*****, and post it in the files section. You can then copy it's link from their to the message board. That should work.

Be warned: pictures from yahoo groups/geocities sites sometimes are not visable to people:

Be not afraid to ask of the questions, oh longmanshort.  I myself have only just managed to start posting links & images after several months on this goodly board.

As OddBoy says, some pics will still not show up even if the URL is correct. This can be because you need to be a member of the group (YaHoo, Google etc) and be signed in to that group to see them or because the site does not allow links.

It is sometimes possible to see the picture by right clicking where it should be clicking on the "Show picture" command.

If this still doesn't work, right click the picture again, click into properties, copy the Address (URL) and paste it into your address bar and then click go. This should take you directly to the picture you wish to see.

Hope this helps.

This is what I do, and nine out of ten times, it works.

Like this, I hope: one for the dads

This image of Jean-Paul Belmondo was originally intended for
thread 4342- Dredd's face has been seen..
where I spent some time banging on about the similarity of McMahon's early cadet Joe and Rico panel- sans helmets
and the great french actor JP.

Check out that chin, I feel vilified.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

Where did you dig that up from Rac?

Oh, now I have a serious question about posting pictures.

Right, I can post the picture no problem, but I notice some of you are posting more than one picture, and are able to slip text in below the picture itself: how this?

Instead of using the Optional Image URL box you need to type in the following for each picture you wish to insert. Don't forget to replace the "insert picture URL" message with the actual picture URL.

<img src=INSERT PICTURE URL HERE>

Yep I can see it.
