One thing I did notice in Dredd - What's with all the facial hair on the H-Wagon Judges? Is it a reference/in joke to something? Are Judges even allowed facial hair? Dunno. *scratches head*

As for the helmet in the bedroom, no way is that a Stormtrooper helmet, looks nothing like one. Probably something obscure from Blakes 7 or Dr Who or something.

Think the sword next to the SG-1 Jaffa-cake staff weapon is Arwens sword from LOTR. http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Hadhafang Also you see in one the next page that the model is indeed Joe Pineapples, and not, as I originally thought, a warhammer 40K Vindicare. *removes nerd hat*

The turgid pile of tripe that was Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters gets a sequel thanks to a large worldwide gross despite flopping in the US. :(

There is no god.

Loved the prog this week, Dredd is a cracker, really love the art with the exception of the strange Lawmasters. The 3hriller was great too, all the various geek memorobilia in the guys room was pretty good.

Being a relative newcomer I don't know much about Stickleback, and although the art was a bit hard to follow at times for me it looks promising.

Quote from: Spaceghost on 13 March, 2013, 01:50:00 PMIf that IS the case then it's bloody stupid. That Judge looked much older than cadets we've seen who exhibited more sense.

I can accept errors of judgment, but for someone who's basically gone through full training to aid the escape of a murderer in exchange for sex??? Simply unbelievable.

That's the point, he hasn't been through the full Judge training program, he's been fast tracked to help make up the numbers. He might not necessarily have been inducted as a child, for all we know he was a member of Citi-Def until a couple of months ago, was chosen as a quick-replacement Judge, given a crash course and thrown out on patrol. Without any more information on the fast tracking program used by Justice Department calling it stupid is a bit much.

And he's not wrong.

It's not a question of if he's right or wrong, it's a case of people not wanting to be forcefed political agendas when you pick up a comic looking for a fun and thrilling read. I've only been buying 2000AD for 8 months and already I'm tiring of it (the politics, not 2000AD! :D )

Love Dredd this week, good story with alot of interaction between the Judges and Cit's, a bit more information as to how Justice Dept' is struggling to cope post-Chaos Day
fast tracking Judge recruits, and paying the price for the drop in quality
and the art was gorgeous. Really good.

Although I think that Savage was a bit of a quiet final episode, I enjoyed it much more than recent weeks offerings. The whole sneaky beaky approach in the middle was very atmospheric.

As a newcomer to 2000AD I didn't have any affection towards Red Seas so for my part I'm glad it's gone. To a new reader it was pretty much completely confusing and innaccessable, although I appreciate anything with a decade of backstory would be!

Good prog this week. :D

The Volg soldier on the second page says - 'Why is it so important to destroy the bridge sarge?', That's what threw me.

Savage - If all the Volgs want to do is destroy the bridge, why are they bothering with all this ground assault milarky? Just bomb the thing (along with Savage and his cronies) and move on. If they wanted to capture it intact I'd understand, but one Volgan specifically states they just want to destroy it.

Cover - What's Ampney Crucis doing with an M4? Needs a shave too. (A sight on the rifle would have been nice, as would the correct shaped empty cartridges...winge winge...moan moan...)

Dredd went out on a major damp squib, and a confusing one at that. Shame, really like the previous two installments. Still love the chunky vehicles though.

Ampney - Nice enough.

Red Seas - Still no idea what's going on, seems to have been an extended battle scene for about 8 progs now.

Future Shocks - Loved it. Cute, cool and funny. More please!

Savage - Blah blah oil, blah blah evil corporations, blah blah get over yourself.

Overall, bit of a throw away issue this week. :(

I can't say I agree with the chief Judge's solution to the current Sov citizen problem.
You start sending people away just because of their ancestry and its a slippery slope. Who would be next? Those with Sino ancestry? Hondo ancestry? Cal-Hab ancestry? And what about the colonies in space, why can't they send help and food to Mega-City One? There has to be a better way than this to get some food.
I don't know which Justice Department you're talking about, but it can't be the quasi-fascist dictatorship dishing out summary executions willy-nilly that everyone else is reading about. MegaCity 1 is a cruel place, and the Judges are often far from being the good guys, this plan of Hersheys is perfectly fitting.

Thought the prog was great, loved the chunky looking H Wagon in Dredd halfway in, and thought the Jeremy Paxman lookalike was pretty funny.  :D

Hi, I've updated my sub' details over the phone a couple of weeks ago, but I've just tried to log onto the store and all I get is the 'Update your details!' pop-up, and it won't let me enter the store. Very frustrating. Any ideas?
