Hold on...what... not too sure about that. Safely in Tim Burton territory but so much so it looks cliched!

Dark Jimbo

I know it's very popular to Burton-bash, but I do like the man's films - what I'm less keen on is 'dark' re-imaginings of ALice in Wonderland. They sorta miss the point of the book. And this especially looks a bit... well, obvious. Pretty, though.

Goaty

yeah it looks like Return to Oz with bits of The Chronicles of Narnia

ThryllSeekyr

Johnny Depp has a knack for those roles. and now that one of you have mentioned that this is another work of Tim Burton.

It's been all those films.

The white face clown  paint is his most common running theme in film.

Well I'm yet to see a Tim Burton film I didn't enjoy so I'd go see it

(Oh no, hang on, didn't he remake Planet of the Apes? That was shite.)
An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!

I've yet to see one of his movies I DID enjoy.  Diff'rent Strokes, eh Arnold?

Planet of the Apes was pish, no argument - but oddly watchable.

I agree with the above poster who said it was more of the same Burton tropes.  Also a bit played out, given how much the territory has already been covered in popular culture of late.

Goosegash

Try as I might I just can't get excited about this. Burton's been peddling this kind of twee gothic whimsy for so many years and I'm just bloody bored of it now. Not to mention the shameless nepotism of casting Helena Bonham-Carter in a major role, again!

Thats about it really.

The only Tim Burton film i liked was Sleepy Hollow.
Worthing Bazaar - A fete worse than death

Good point Peter, I retract my earlier comment.  Sleepy Hollow was very good.

And Michelle Pfeiffer's OUTFIT in Batman 2 was good.  Altogether now: ME-OW!

Beetle Juice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Ed Wood, Mars Attacks! No love here for any of these?

Professor Bear

Shit, shit, shit, shit, good and shit, in that order.
